Before the final AP Top 25 poll comes out following Monday’s College Football Playoff national championship game, a national college football writer shared his final AP Top 25 ballot.
Action Network’s Brett McMurphy has Clemson just inside his top 15, ranking the Tigers at No. 14.
Clemson was not ranked in the most recent AP Top 25 poll released on Dec. 3, though the Tigers led all other teams outside the top 25 receiving votes with 87 votes.
Dabo Swinney’s team figures to finish in the top 25 after ending the year on a five-game winning streak, including the comeback, 38-35 victory over Kentucky in the Gator Bowl on Dec. 29.
Clemson concluded the 2023 campaign with a 9-4 record (4-4 ACC) – the Tigers’ 13th consecutive nine-win season and 14th overall in Swinney’s 15 full seasons as head coach.
The Tigers also extended their streak of at least one postseason win (conference championship, bowl game and/or national championship game) to 13 consecutive seasons, the longest streak on record in major college football history.
