Clemson’s New Kicker ‘The Best in NC History’

Expectations at the college level can be high for many reasons, and new Clemson kicker Nolan Hauser has set the bar above the clouds.

Coming in, Hauser holds the national record for field goals made in a high school career with 66. The previous holder had 56, so he’s shattered the once elusive mark.

The Charlotte Observer curated the top players at each position in North Carolina over the last 40 years, and Hauser was named the top kicker.

“Perhaps the best kicker in NC history, Hauser was a four-time All-Observer pick and made 81 percent of his career field goal attempts (66-of-81) and 97 percent of his PATs (205-of-11).”

Following his illustrious high school campaign, the Tigers are now spoiled with as qualified of a kicker out of high school you could imagine. Hauser joined the team for bowl practice and now he’s enrolled for the spring.
