A few Clemson coaches, including head man Dabo Swinney, paid a visit to see a highly touted Tiger pledge on Monday.
Swinney, defensive tackles coach Nick Eason and defensive ends coach Chris Rumph were on hand at the MLK Bash basketball event at Eau Claire High School in Columbia to watch four-star Clemson defensive line commit Amare Adams compete with South Florence High, as Lou Bezjak of The State noted on X.
Adams is the No. 1 football prospect in the state of South Carolina for the 2025 class, per multiple recruiting services.

Along with being the Palmetto State’s top-ranked prospect, Adams is ranked as a top-100 national prospect by multiple recruiting services. He is ranked as high as the No. 78 overall prospect in the 2025 class by Rivals, which ranks him as the No. 4 defensive tackle nationally.
The 6-foot-6, 295-pound junior committed to Clemson in early December, choosing the Tigers over a bunch of othr schools including South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Florida State and Tennessee.
