Four-star DL Commit Feeling the Love Ahead of Junior Day

It’s still very early in the 2025 recruiting cycle, but Clemson has landed some cornerstone commitments. One of those players is four-star defensive lineman Amare Adams.

Adams committed to the Tigers in December after a summer visit during the Dabo Swinney Camp followed by a game day weekend in Death Valley. Since his decision to join the Clemson family, he’s received an outpouring of love from fans.

“The fans were excited and they were just welcoming me home and that’s why I love their fans because they’re treating me like family and I didn’t even start my freshman year there yet,” Adams told The Clemson Insider.

While he’s committed to the Tigers, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows according to Adams, but in a good way. The coaching staff has imprinted a focus on hard work, as Swinney and company want to get the most out of the highly-touted defensive lineman.

“What I heard from the coaches were you know just because I committed doesn’t mean I can’t work. I will have to work hard each and every day not only on the field but in the classroom as well and it just continues to grow because we talking more everyday and getting to know each other more and more,” Adams said.

As he prepares for his senior season, Adams said he’s focused on improving as both a pass rusher and run stopper. Part of that preparation will come from the Tigers’ Elite Junior Day Jan. 27, which Adams confirmed that he plans to attend.

Clemson is moving into a new era on the defensive line, and Adams is a large part of those plans as the Tigers look for new household names up front.
