Former Tiger Signs with New Pro Team

A former Clemson Tiger is headed to play in the Canadian Football League.

The Toronto Argonauts announced this week they have signed defensive lineman Jordan Williams.

Williams previously played pro football for the USFL’s Memphis Showboats in 2023, when he posted 21 tackles and 5.5 sacks in nine games. The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent in May 2022 and spent that offseason with the team.

Williams played at Clemson from 2017-20 and concluded his career as a Tiger with 55 tackles (9.5 for loss), 4.0 sacks, two pass breakups and a forced fumble over 38 games (three starts).

Williams then transferred to finish out his college career at Virginia Tech in 2021, when the Virginia native recorded 33 tackles and 2.5 sacks for the Hokies.
