CLEMSON — Clemson head softball coach John Rittman was very appreciative of Sunday’s crowd as the Tigers hosted their annual Orange & Purple Scrimmage at McWhorter Stadium.
Rittman says his team is ready to get the 2024 season going, as the Tigers hope to turn this year into a Women’s College World Series appearance.
Clemson enters the new season ranked inside the top 10 in both major college softball polls.
The 2024 campaign begins this Thursday in Clearwater, Fla. at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Clemson’s first 11 games will be on the road with the Tigers returning for their home opener on Friday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. against Ole Miss to kick off the Clemson Classic.
