Three Tigers Who Can Show Out in Spring Practice

The NFL season is over, so the next big thing in the world of football is spring practice for college. That brings us to Clemson’s approaching practices, where we can learn a lot about the Tigers’ future.

As that approaches, here’s three players I’m looking forward to watching in the spring for a multitude of reasons.

CB Avieon Terrell

This one may come as a bit of a surprise, but Terrell is the player I’m most excited to see in the spring. He’s already proved the player he can be at Clemson, but it’s a very different cornerback room now.

Nate Wiggins and Sheridan Jones are gone and Terrell has to take a larger role. Yes, he was a starter by years end and proved to be one of the Tigers’ best but taking in this sophomore season is a different animal.

How Terrell develops under Mike Reed with a year under his belt will be very interesting. He’s shown the instincts, but evolving his knowledge while becoming a leader could be huge for Clemson.

LB Sammy Brown

What’s not to be excited about with Brown? He was the Tigers’ biggest hit in the 2024 class and comes in after the departure of Jeremiah Trotter Jr., so it’s right on time.

Having seen Brown shine when he played against Wren High School, he brings so much to Clemson’s linebacker room. He didn’t practice while he was with the Tigers at the bowl game, but he should participate in the spring.

Brown is a physical linebacker with great instincts for the ball, and getting into the college regimen could turn him into a star early. We’ll just have to see how Clemson approaches his early development.

WR Misun Kelley

Dabo Swinney raved last fall about “Tink” and what he can bring to the Tigers, but injuries forced him to redshirt. He appeared as a returner, and his speed was evident in practice.

If Clemson has him at full health, Garrett Riley can use him as a wild card in the offense on top of what he brings to the special teams unit. He’s also a hometown kid that played at Daniel High School, so Tigers fans are excited to see him take the field.

The offense needs some juice heading into 2024, and Kelley can provide that. Given a strong spring showing, Clemson could have its X-factor on offense decided very quickly.
