This stud quarterback prospect from the Sunshine State, and son of a former NBA player, is high on Clemson.
American Heritage (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) four-star Dia Bell – a top-50 national prospect in the 2026 class, per multiple recruiting services – has not yet taken a trip to Tiger Town but told The Clemson Insider he’s “a big fan” of Dabo Swinney’s program.
“They are a program that I’ve always watched because of how good they are,” Bell said. “Coach Swinney is a great coach and they always have great QBs, like Deshaun (Watson), Trevor (Lawrence), DJ (Uiagalelei) and now Cade (Klubnik). An offer from Clemson would be incredible!”
A 6-foot-2, 190-pound sophomore, Bell already has two dozen scholarship offers under his belt.
LSU gave him his latest offer earlier this month, joining Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Louisville, Miami, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Penn State, Utah, West Virginia and Wisconsin among others on his extensive offer list.
“The recruiting process has been fun for me so far,” he said. “I didn’t focus on it a lot during the season, but it has heated up over the winter. I’ve been blessed to meet and develop relationships with some amazing people. I’m really grateful for all of the coaches who have expressed interest in me as a person and as a player.”
Bell has strong bloodlines and comes from a very athletic family, with both of his parents being former athletes – including his father, Raja Bell, a longtime guard in the NBA from 2001-13 who was twice named to the NBA All-Defensive Team.
As you would expect, Dia’s parents have had a big impact on his sports life as well as the recruiting process.
“My dad played 13 seasons in the NBA and my mom was a high school All-American and a D1 college conference Player of the Year in soccer. They both have been huge parts of my sports life!” Dia said. “They talk to me a lot about what it takes to live your dreams and how you have to make sacrifices to achieve your goals. My dad talks to me now about blocking out the noise and staying focused on what’s important, which is my growth as a young man and as a QB. They are always there to support and encourage me!”
Dia is ranked as high as the nation’s No. 30 prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, regardless of position, by Rivals.
