Clemson will soon get this four-star and top-100 national recruit back on campus.

Webb School of Knoxville (Tenn.) class of 2026 athlete Shavar Young Jr. is planning to attend the Tigers’ junior day on March 9.

“I will be there in March. I love visiting Clemson, it’s always fun,” he told The Clemson Insider. “I’m just really looking forward to continuing building my relationship with the staff.”

Young, who holds more than two dozen total scholarship offers, is being looked at by the Tigers as a wide receiver and as a defensive back as well.

Co-defensive coordinator/safeties coach Mickey Conn, Young’s area recruiter for Clemson, visited his school in January to check up on him.

“When Coach Conn stopped by my school, it just made me more interested in Clemson because it showed they have interest in me also,” Young said.

The 6-foot, 175-pound sophomore has traveled to Clemson several times, most recently for the Florida State game this past September, and he has kept in contact with the Tigers.

“I was able to speak with some staff there. They just want to get me up there as much as possible,” Young said. “They are big on getting to know you and your family.”

Young not only plans to visit Clemson for next month’s junior day but said he also plans to return in April, and there’s a number of other schools he intends to get to going forward as well.

“I also plan to visit Kentucky, Tennessee, Oregon, Virginia Tech, and maybe Georgia,” he said.

Where does Clemson stand with him right now at this point in his recruiting process?

“Clemson is most definitely at the top,” he said.

Young is ranked by Rivals as the No. 94 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class. He played at Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy as a sophomore this past season before transferring back to Webb School, where he spent his freshman campaign.
