Top QB Recruit Has ‘Extremely High’ Interest in Clemson

There’s plenty of mutual interest between Clemson and this standout quarterback prospect in the class of 2026.

DJ Bordeaux, who moved from Colorado to Georgia last year, is firmly on the radar of the Tigers and offensive coordinator Garrett Riley – and Clemson certainly has Bordeaux’s attention as well.

“I think Clemson has shown a good amount of interest,” Bordeaux told The Clemson Insider. “They have been sending me letters and I got some invites and I even got to talk to Coach Riley, so I’m loving Clemson right now.”

Bordeaux attended ThunderRidge High School (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) before transferring to Alpharetta (Ga.) High School, where he played as a sophomore this past season. He has since transferred to Douglas County (Douglasville, Ga.).

More than a dozen schools have extended offers to the 6-foot-2, 192-pound signal-caller, including schools such as Colorado, Georgia Tech, Miami, Mississippi State, NC State, Penn State, Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech.

“I would say the recruiting process is going well for me right now,” he said. “It’ll pick back up once spring ball starts, but schools showing the most love for me is Penn State and Miami.”

Bordeaux has been invited to Clemson’s “spring elite day” (junior day) on March 9, and checking out Clemson in person is something he wants to do.

“Right now, I don’t have any planned visits but Clemson is definitely a big one I would love to go see,” he said. “They’ve been sending me letters and even invited me to the spring elite day, so hopefully I’ll get to go up and see everything then.”

A future offer from the Tigers would be a big deal for Bordeaux, who threw for 2,622 yards and 27 touchdowns with just five interceptions over nine games as a sophomore in 2023.

“My interest level in Clemson is extremely high,” he said. “I love Clemson, I love what they do with their quarterbacks that go through that program, and to receive an offer from them would mean everything and would put me one step closer to being one of the great quarterbacks from Clemson.”
