Higgins Knows Where He Will Play Next Season

There won’t be a competition to land a star former Tiger this summer as the Cincinnati Bengals have secured its wide receiver core for at least one more year.

Tee Higgins came out of the 2023 season expecting a big payday, and he’s going to receive just that. The only difference is this one is guaranteed for one season. Cincinnati informed Higgins that he will be receiving the franchise tag, as reported by Ian Rapoport.

Higgins’ tag number is expected to land around $21.8 million, more than double what his rookie contract gave him over four seasons. During that tenure, he was one of the most successful pass-catchers in the NFL with 257 catches for 3,684 yards and 24 touchdowns.

The tag isn’t set in stone as Higgins and the Bengals can work on a long-term deal until July 15. If he decides to remain in Cincinnati, then an even larger contract could come his way.
