Wiggins Suffers Injury at NFL Combine

Nate Wiggins showed off his incredible speed on Friday at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, running a blazing 4.28 in the 40-yard dash — the best time among the cornerbacks.

Unfortunately for the former Clemson corner, he was injured on the run and is done for the day.

Wiggins limped off the field and had to helped to the training room.

Stacey Dales, a reporter for NFL Network’s broadcast of the combine, reported that Wiggins has a hip flexor, but expects to be able to participate in Clemson’s Pro Day:

Widely projected to be a first-round pick in April’s draft, Wiggins was ranked as the No. 25 overall prospect in NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s updated ranking of the top 50 draft-eligible prospects entering the combine.

The 2024 NFL Draft takes place from April 25-27 in Detroit.

Hopefully the former Clemson star will have a speedy recovery.
