Heavily Recruited Charlotte Receiver ‘Really Enjoyed’ Latest Clemson Visit

A highly sought-after wideout from the Tar Heel State, with a bunch of scholarship offers already under his belt, returned to Tiger Town last weekend.

Myers Park (Charlotte, N.C.) class of 2026 receiver Brody Keefe attended the Clemson football program’s junior day last Saturday.

“It was good,” Keefe told The Clemson Insider. “Really enjoyed being back on campus.”

It marked the second recruiting visit to Clemson for Keefe, who took in the Florida Atlantic game at Death Valley this past September.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound rising junior said “seeing more about how the program is run was a big [highlight]” for him during his latest visit.

“I didn’t get to see much of that on my in-season visit, so it was good to learn more,” Keefe added. “Being on the field watching practice was another [highlight], to see how teams practice and get a feel for coaches from that point.”

Keefe made the trip to campus with several family members.

“My brother, my mom and stepdad and my dad,” he said. “My mom has always been a Clemson fan and we grew up going to games, so they loved [the visit].”

Clemson receivers coach Tyler Grisham made a great impression on Keefe during his visit last season, and the two got to spend a lot of time together during the Tigers’ junior day.

“We get along really well, and it was good to hear more on his coaching philosophy,” Keefe said. “He told me I’m a big target for them and they want me back out soon.”

Keefe was also able to interact with head coach Dabo Swinney and offensive coordinator Garrett Riley, as well as offensive player development coach Tajh Boyd and student coach Paul Tyson.

“I remember watching him play at Clemson a few years back, so it’s cool to catch up with him when we visit,” Keefe said of Boyd. “Got to hang out with Paul Tyson too. He’s going to be a great addition to the team and staff.”

Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Georgia, North Carolina, NC State, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest are among the nearly 20 schools that have already offered Keefe.

Of course, Clemson typically doesn’t offer a prospect until the summer before their junior year.

“As for an offer, I knew coming in that they don’t offer ‘til after June 1, so I didn’t come expecting anything,” Keefe said. “I respect their process, and after listening to coach Swinney, it makes a lot of sense for their program. They made it clear that guys in that room were their top priority, so that was good enough for me.”

Keefe is looking to get back to Clemson for camp this summer, and he said last weekend’s visit “put Clemson up there” for him in his recruitment.

“Learning about the production over the years that’s come out of there, they know what they’re doing,” he said. “They made it clear I could walk out of my 3-4 years there with a degree, prepared for the league and as a better man. That’s the goal.”

Keefe is coming off a strong sophomore season at Myers Park, having posted 41 receptions for 599 yards and 11 touchdowns in 11 games.
