Clemson has extended a new offer to a four-star edge rusher in the 2025 class.
Chinedu Onyeagoro of King Drew Magnet High School (Los Angeles, Calif.) announced the offer via social media Tuesday afternoon.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound junior is a top-250 national prospect in his class according to 247Sports, which ranks him as the nation’s No. 243 overall prospect and No. 23 edge defender nationally.
Originally a basketball player, Onyeagoro didn’t start playing football until his sophomore year. In just his second season of football as a junior in 2023, he impressively totaled a state-high 21 sacks to go with 30 tackles for loss, two interceptions, five forced fumbles, three pass breakups and a couple of blocked kicks.
Despite his limited experience on the gridiron, Onyeagoro has garnered a slew of scholarship offers, including offers from Georgia, Kentucky, Arizona, Arizona State, California, Duke, Maryland, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Oregon State, UCLA and Washington among others.
