Clemson went through the 2024 cycle without a commitment from an offered quarterback but the Tigers have landed a preferred walk-on late in the cycle.
Lone State State quarterback Cade Trotter had committed to Clemson, sharing the news on X.
I am excited to announce that I have accepted an opportunity to play football at Clemson University! Honored to continue my academic and athletic journey as a Tiger!#ALLIN 🐅

Trotter visited Clemson last fall for the Florida State game and had previously showcased his talents at the Dabo Swinney Camp during the summer.
The 6-foot-2 quarterback will help fill out the quarterback room which is thin in numbers heading into 2024.
