Knaak Leads Clemson to 7-0 Victory Over Miami

Clemson shutout Miami 7-0 Saturday to win the series over the Canes.

Aidan Knaak got the start for the Tigers and pitched a gem.  Knaak went seven innings and only gave up two hits and had ten strikeouts.

Cam Cannarella was 2-4 with three RBI’s for Clemson.  He hit a double down the left field line to start the game.  Blake Wright reached on a fielder’s choice before Mathes wqlked.  With two outs in the first Jacob Hinderleider singled to score Cannarella, Wright and Mathes.  After one the Tigers led 3-0.

Clemson plated another run in the third before blowing the game open in the sixth.  With one out Ciufo walked before Jarrell was hit by a pitch.  Purify singled to load the bases before Cannarella doubled to clear the bases and the Tigers led 7-0.

With the win Clemson moved to 24-3 on the season and 7-2 in the ACC.  The Tigers play USC Upstate Tuesday night at Fluor Field.
