A four-star California edge rusher in the 2025 class has Clemson among his favorites.
Chinedu Onyeagoro of King Drew Magnet High School (Los Angeles) announced his top 10 schools via social media Wednesday.
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound rising senior included Clemson on the list, along with UCLA, Arizona State, Northwestern, Arizona, SMU, Washington, Georgia, Florida and Miami.
Onyeagoro is a top-250 national prospect in his class according to 247Sports, which ranks him as the nation’s No. 243 overall prospect and No. 23 edge defender nationally.
Originally a basketball player, Onyeagoro didn’t start playing football until his sophomore year. In just his second season of football as a junior in 2023, he impressively totaled a state-high 21 sacks to go with 30 tackles for loss, two interceptions, five forced fumbles, three pass breakups and a couple of blocked kicks.
Despite his limited experience on the gridiron, Onyeagoro has garnered a slew of scholarship offers and lists around 20 total offers.
