Clemson has recruited an in-state receiver heavily, and now he’s rising up on the national stage.
2026 four-star wide receiver Jordon Gidron has become one of the most coveted players in his class, and the Tigers made their presence early in his recruitment.
Dating back to a visit for the North Carolina game in Nov. 2023, Gidron has visited Clemson on multiple occasions and built a strong connection with wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham and the program as a whole.
A Columbia product, he’s being recruited by both ends of the Palmetto State rivalry. It’s something he’s told The Clemson Insider that he’s really appreciative of and now the whole country is seeing it.
Extremely grateful to be ranked the #1 Player in South Carolina, the #7 WR in the country and the 49th overall in the Nation by @247sports‼️📈🆙🔝

At this stage in his recruitment, Gidron is now the No. 1 player in S.C. according to 247Sports. Clemson will be a big player in his recruitment, and a potential offer this summer will play a factor.
Gidron currently holds 22 Division-I offers and his latest visit to the Tigers left him with a “high interest” in the program.
