If there was ever any doubt, Clemson basketball has its frontcourt star back for 2024.
Tigers forward Ian Schieffelin shared on his Instagram that he’ll be returning for his senior season. After Clemson lost multiple players to the portal, Schieffelin made sure the fans knew he wasn’t going anywhere.
As a junior, Schieffelin become one of the most prolific effort players and rebounders in the country. He averaged 10.1 points and 9.4 rebounds to earn himself the ACC’s Most Improved Player reward.
During the NCAA Tournament run, Schieffelin scored in double figured in all four games. His biggest outing came in the late loss to Alabama in the Elite Eight. Schieffelin scored 18 points while adding 11 rebounds in the contest.
Head coach Brad Brownell has his biggest frontcourt piece back and he’ll be paired with transfer center Viktor Lakhin as Clemson rides the momentum of its impressive season.
