Touted OL Eyeing Clemson Return, Says Offer Would Be ‘Dream Come True’

This highly touted offensive lineman from the Tar Heel State continues to stay in touch with Clemson and hopes to return to Tiger Town soon.

Providence Day School (Charlotte, N.C.) four-star Leo Delaney – a top-100 national prospect in the 2026 class, per multiple recruiting services – is looking to get back on campus this spring or summer, possibly for the Dabo Swinney Camp in June.

June is when Clemson will start dispensing offers to recruits in the 2026 class, and Delaney would be thrilled to earn one of those offers from the Tigers.

“From Clemson coaches, I’ve been hearing a lot of great things,” he told The Clemson Insider recently. “They want me to come back down for camp, and I’d love to do that. I’d love to come back down for camp, and I know they don’t offer 2026s until June, so I’d love to hear from them on that. That would be a dream come true.”

Delaney owns an impressive list of two dozen offers, including offers from schools such as Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, NC State, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and Southern Cal.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound rising junior visited Clemson in March, while he has also been to schools like Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee this spring.

“My recruiting process has been going really well,” he said. “Stuff has really been starting to come together. I’ve been able to go on a lot of visits recently, which is something I’m really grateful for, and just see different programs and how they act.”

Delaney had a great time at Clemson when he attended the program’s March 9 junior day, and came away especially impressed by the Tigers’ head coach.

“The thing that stood out to me most about the Clemson experience was how their team interacted with each other, and how Coach Swinney treats his players, like how it’s the type of coach that would treat his players like he treats his own kids,” Delaney said. “He wants nothing but the best for his players, as men and as football players, which is something really special and I saw from them that I don’t see from a lot of programs.”

With so many suitors and plenty of time left to make his college decision, Delaney is simply still exploring his different options right now, but expects some schools to start separating themselves from the pack as he keeps going through the recruiting process.

“I don’t really have any schools completely sticking out for me in the process,” he said. “I’m still kind of just going around, seeing how everything falls together, seeing what I like, seeing what I don’t like. So nothing’s really sticking out for me yet, but I’ll probably know within a few months, top schools.”

Delaney is ranked as high as the No. 76 overall prospect in the country for the 2026 class by 247Sports, which considers him the No. 3 interior offensive lineman nationally in his class.
