The Tigers split a doubleheader with the Yellow Jackets on Friday, taking the game one 11-4 before a late rally by the Yellow Jackets led to Clemson dropping the second contest 14-12.
Erik Bakich’s team enters tomorrow’s midweek contest at Charlotte sitting at 36-10 overall, 17-7 in ACC play and having won six out of the last 10 games. The Tigers are No. 4 in the RPI with a strength of schedule that ranks No. 14 in the country.
There is also a new team atop the poll this week, as Tennessee takes over the top spot after the Vols series win over Florida. Texas A&M, who was previously ranked No. 1, drops to No. 3 after dropping a road series at LSU.
