The list of offensive linemen set to attend Clemson’s big official weekend has gotten smaller.

5-star OL target Josh Petty (Fellowship Christian, Roswell, Ga) was originally set to attend, but The Clemson Insider has confirmed that the Tigers are longer set to get one of Petty’s officials.

“After a long and very difficult evaluation session, Joshua has removed Clemson from the list of schools that he will do official visits,” Petty’s father, James, told TCI. “He loves coach (Dabo) Swinney and coach (Matt) Luke.”

The 6-foot-5, 267-pound recruit is ranked No. 29 overall by the 247 Sports Composite and No. 5 among all tackle prospects. He picked up his offer from Clemson last June after an unofficial visit to campus. The official visit weekend would have been his first visit since last summer.

The Tigers will still have several big name targets on hand that weekend, as 5-star David Sanders, 4-star Mario Nash Jr, and 3-stars Mal Waldrep and Max Buchanan are all slated to attend.

With 4-stars Brayden Jacobs and Eaton Ware already committed for the 2025 class, Clemson is expected to take up to three more offensive linemen in the class.
