CLEMSON- Samar Kaul is about to take in his first experience camping at Clemson.

As he gets set to begin his junior campaign, the 2026 QB (Oakton, Va)  is looking to get out and working on getting himself some more exposure.

“It’s gonna be my first time,” Kaul told The Clemson Insider. “Because I’m gonna be a junior. So I decided to get to a bunch of camps. Get some exposure this year.”

As a young quarterback, Kaul said there are several things he already does well, and he is looking to show that off for the coaches at Clemson.

“Some of the things I do best are throwing,” Kaul said. “I’d say I’m pretty accurate with the ball. When it comes down to what I do in games, I’m really smart. I identify coverages. I know how to read my guys and go through my progressions. I’m really good at extending plays. I got it on my film, where it’s not just me sitting in the pocket, I can avoid sacks, get out of there and throw it to my guy. I kind of use my speed and my playmaking abilities to my advantage.”

Hailing from Virginia, Kaul is only generally familiar with Dabo Swinney’s program, but what knowledge he does have of the school, he knows it is one he’d like to play for.

“I know it’s a great football program, obviously,” Kaul said. “There are standards I want to set for myself. Like just aiming for a school like Clemson, because I know it’s credible.”

Virginia and Northwestern have both been in contact, along with Clemson. Penn State and Maryland are two of the schools he also plans to camp at.

As he goes through the beginning stages of this process, Kaul is looking for a school with some specific characteristics. One that can develop him as a football player and one that can help him with community outreach.

“Obviously looking forward to playing football, getting to know everybody in the program, just being successful in that aspect,” Kaul said. “But also I really want to help people with the platform that I have. I think that if I can do it anywhere, Clemson is a pretty good school for me to do that. What I mean is by going out in the community, helping out. Like food drives and stuff, helping with charities and all that. It’s kind of like the biggest goal for me is trying to help people. The first thing I’m trying to do is get a platform for that by playing the sport that I love.”

And a potential offer from Clemson is something that would absolutely resonate with the young quarterback.

“That would mean a lot,” Kaul said. “I mean, considering that they’re taking interest in me as a player and as a person, that will definitely mean a lot to me. I’ve worked for it. So with an offer like that, that would be great.”
