Clemson has landed another commitment from another one of last weekend’s official visitors.
Iona Prep (New Rochelle, N.Y.) four-star offensive lineman Rowan Byrne announced his verbal pledge to the Tigers on Thursday afternoon.
“The fit and culture at Clemson is second to none,” Byrne told The Clemson Insider. “To be able to compete in a place I fit in so well and compete for championships is amazing.”
Byrne formally received an offer from Dabo Swinney’s program upon his arrival to Tiger Town for his official visit this past weekend.
The 6-foot-6, 300-pound rising senior chose Clemson over a slew of other college options, including his finalists — Michigan State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Stanford and Florida State.
Byrne is ranked as the nation’s No. 18 offensive guard and the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of New York for the 2025 class by Rivals.
He has been in contact with Matt Luke since January, not too long after Luke took over as the Tigers’ new offensive line coach, and Luke stopped by Byrne’s school to see him last month prior to the official visit.
“I think he is a great guy,” Byrne told The Clemson Insider recently. “We’ve got a great relationship, and as a coach he is easily one of the best OL coaches in the nation. Great coach and a better man!”
Now, Byrne will get to be coached by Luke in the future after committing to a Clemson program that Bryne is certainly high on.
“I think it is a great program, great development, great everything,” he said. “Definitely a top-of-the-line program in all aspects.”
Clemson also picked up a commitment from Wiregrass Ranch (Tampa, Fla.) four-star cornerback Graceson Littleton on Wednesday.
Littleton and Byrne became the 12th and 13th commits in the Tigers’ 2025 class.
