CLEMSON — Clemson has announced its starting pitcher for Saturday’s Super Regional matchup against Florida.
Head coach Erik Bakich confirmed that sophomore lefthander Tristan Smith will get the start Saturday when the sixth-seeded Tigers take on the Florida Gators.
In the Clemson Regional opener against High Point, Smith allowed just one earned run and no walks with nine strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched.
The 6-foot-2, 195-pound South Carolina native owns a 3.88 ERA in 11 games (all starts) this season with 62 strikeouts in 46.1 innings pitched.
