Clemson in Contact with Top JUCO Prospect

With the 2024 season now in the books, Clemson head coach Erik Bakich is looking to add some players to the Tigers’ roster via the transfer portal.

Outfielder Dominc Listi announced a commitment to Clemson on Saturday, a fitting piece with Alden Mathes out of eligibility.

With Blake Wright and Jacob Hinderleider each having exhausted their eligibility as well, Bakich is also looking to potentially add an infielder and The Clemson Insider has confirmed that the Tigers have been in contact with Luke Orfi.

While Orfi has not yet visited campus due to the fact that he is already playing summer ball in the NECBL, he is a name to keep an eye on moving forward.

Orfi is a JUCO prospect that played his freshman season at Georgia Highlands College, hitting .438 with 16 home runs and 66 RBI across 66 games. He was also 56-of-63 in stolen base attempts. With Clemson looking to replace some of the production at the top of the lineup, Orfi could end up being a really good fit.
