A Clemson star showed off his speed for Major League Baseball general managers and scouts this past week.
Tiger outfielder Will Taylor attended the MLB Draft Combine in Phoenix and put his wheels on display with a 30-yard dash of 3.609 seconds.
That impressive time ranked fifth among 30-yard dash times at the combine, according to USA Baseball.
The combine featured some of the top high school and college baseball prospects who are eligible for the 2024 MLB Draft.

Following Clemson’s loss to Florida in the Clemson Super Regional, head coach Erik Bakich said Taylor is among the Tigers that Bakich expects to sign professional contracts following the draft.
The 2024 MLB Draft is set for July 14-16 in Arlington, Texas.
Taylor saw his junior season cut short due to a broken bone in his wrist. He injured his left wrist (glove hand) while making a diving attempt at a foul ball against NC State on April 14.
At the time of his injury, Taylor was starting to get back to the form that made him a highly regarded MLB prospect coming into the season. He appeared in 32 games, hitting .230 with seven home runs and 19 RBI
