Former Clemson Tiger Billy Amick was selected in the second round of the Major League Baseball Draft on Sunday night.
The Minnesota Twins used the 60th pick overall on Amick, who played his final season with national champion Tennessee, after transferring out of Clemson following the 2023 season. Amick was ranked No. 32 overall on the Top 250 Draft Prospects List heading into the draft.
Amick burst onto the scene for the Tigers in 2023, finishing with 13 home runs and 63 RBI after starting the season in a reserve role. After moving on to Tennessee, the slugger hit 23 home runs with 65 RBI, helping guide the Volunteers to their first ever national title.
