Clemson WR target Dillon Alfred has pushed back his commitment date.
The 4-star wideout (Saraland, AL) was originally scheduled to announce a commitment on Monday afternoon, but has now pushed the date back to Friday.
“Over the past weekend and visited two amazing places (Clemson and Ole Miss), both unique and special in their own way,” Alfred posted to social media. “I initially thought about making my commitment decision today. However, after thinking about it more I’m delaying my announcement until August 2nd.”

Alfred first visited Clemson back in the spring, before committing to Ole Miss. He would then make it back to Clemson the first week in June to work out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp. Three weeks later, he decommitted from Ole Miss and announced an offer from Clemson.
Alfred was back on campus this weekend for the All-In Cookout, before heading back to Ole Miss for an unofficial visit.
Clemson already has one receiver committed in the 2025 class in 4-star Ju Ju Preston. 4-star Marquise Henderson is also on board and while he was taken as an ATH, he is expected to play receiver at Clemson.
