Clemson had plenty of fun in its home opener at Death Valley on Saturday night, putting nine touchdowns on the board (including eight in the first half) en route to an impressive 66-20 rout over App State.

Clemson's 56 points in the first half vs Appalachian State set the "modern school record" for a half. Previous record was 52 at Georgia Tech in 2000. We don't call it the school record because Clemson scored 122 vs Guilford in 1901 and obviously had at least 61 in a half.
