The latest AP Top 25 Poll was released Sunday after Week 3 of the college football season.
Clemson, which was idle during its open date this weekend, is now ranked No. 21 in the updated AP Poll.
The Tigers (1-1) were previously ranked No. 22 in the AP Poll following their 66-20 victory over App State on Sept. 7 at Memorial Stadium in Week 2.
Per Clemson Assistant Athletic Director for Football Communications Ross Taylor, thisĀ marks the 500th time that Clemson has been ranked in an AP Poll since the poll’s inception in 1936. Clemson becomes the 18th program ever to be ranked in 500 AP Polls all-time.
Following one of two scheduled open dates for the 2024 regular season, Clemson returns to action in Death Valley this Saturday, Sept. 21 for its ACC opener vs. NC State (12 p.m., ABC).
