Unfortunately for the Cleveland Browns and Deshaun Watson, he was sacked eight times in Cleveland’s 21-15 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday.
The former Clemson star quarterback was the victim of some Clemson-on-Clemson crime, as Watson’s former Tiger teammate – Giants All-Pro defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence – was responsible for two of those sacks.
Lawrence got after Watson early and often, as Lawrence finished with eight pressures and four quarterback hits in the contest.
Lawrence brought down Watson on a third-down sack early in the first quarter, and then Lawrence forced a turnover on downs with his fourth-down sack of Watson late in the fourth quarter.
Lawrence and Watson played together on Clemson’s 2016 national title team.
