Florida State’s 2024 football season has gotten off to a rough start, and now the Seminoles have suffered another blow on the recruiting front.
Rock Hill (S.C.) four-star wide receiver Malik Clark decommitted from Florida State on Tuesday.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior is a consensus four-star prospect, per the major recruiting services, and ranked as high as the No. 16 receiver in the country and No. 164 overall prospect nationally in the 2025 class by ESPN.
Clark had been committed to FSU since late July. Now that he has withdrawn his verbal pledge from the Noles, they are down to two receiver commits in the 2025 class — Milton (Ga.) four-star CJ Wiley and Lovejoy (Texas) four-star Daylan McCutcheon.
FSU (1-4, 1-3 ACC) will host No. 15 Clemson (3-1, 2-0) on Saturday at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. The game set to kick off at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
