Former Clemson Tiger Nabs First Interception of Season

A.J. Terrell recorded his first interception of the season in Atlanta’s 38-20 win over Carolina on Sunday.

With the Falcons up 28-20 early in the fourth quarter and the Panthers in Atlanta territory looking to score, Terrell stepped in front of an Andy Dalton pass and picked it off. Atlanta would then go on a 9-play, 84-yard scoring drive to put the game away.

Terrell finished the game with three tackles, a pass defended and the interception.

The Falcons improved to 4-2 on the season while the Panthers dropped to 1-5.

Before becoming a first-round pick of Atlanta in the 2020 NFL Draft, Terrell spent three seasons at Clemson, with two of those being as a full-time starter. He was an All-ACC selection twice and finished his career with 107 career tackles (3.5 for loss), 20 pass breakups, six interceptions and two forced fumbles.
