Current Clemson commit Tae Harris’ hard work on the football field is being recognized.
The 4-star safety (Cedartown) remains on the updated watchlist for Mr. Football in Georgia.
“I’m gonna try to win Mr. Georgia Football,” Harris told The Clemson Insider in a recent interview. “All-State. I’ve gotten All-State since my sophomore year, though, so it shouldn’t be too hard for me. I’m also trying to get the Elite-11, which is the best 11 players offense-defense in the state of Georgia.”

Harris committed to Clemson back in March after decommitting from Georgia earlier in the year. The two-way player is having a strong senior season, as he is hoping to help led his team to a state title.
“Team goals, really just to get it done with my senior guys one last time,” he said. “Just win state. That’s always the goal. Win state.”
Harris missed last night’s blowout win with an injury, but through the first nine games he rushed for close to 800 yards, averaging 13.7 yards per attempt. He has gone over 100 yards twice this season and has 12 rushing touchdowns. He also has 197 receiving yards with three touchdown catches. On the defensive side, he is averaging seven tackles a game.
