Monday Night Injury Update on Bryant Wesco

During his weekly radio show Monday night, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney gave an injury update on Bryant Wesco.

The star true freshman receiver has missed Clemson’s last two games against Virginia and Wake Forest after getting banged up in the Tigers’ win over Florida State on Oct. 5.

Swinney was asked Monday night how Wesco is doing and whether Swinney feels the Tigers will get him back for Saturday’s game against Louisville.

“He’s day-to-day, but today was a good day,” Swinney said. “He had a good week. He was obviously one of those guys that we’re really hoping could be back and ready to roll. Had a good start to the week today, but definitely got a long week ahead.”

A former five-star prospect from Texas who enrolled at Clemson in January, Wesco played in the first five games this season, catching 11 passes for 262 yards and two touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is averaging 23.8 yards per catch.

Coming off its open date this past weekend, No. 11 Clemson returns to action Saturday against Louisville at Death Valley (7:30 p.m., ESPN).
