Clemson WR to Miss Louisville Game

Clemson will be without this wide receiver for Saturday’s game against Louisville.

Sophomore Tyler Brown, who is working his way back from an ankle injury, will be out against the Cardinals according to head coach Dabo Swinney.

“He won’t be ready this week,” Swinney said during his weekly Tuesday press conference. “He’s still week-to-week, but not ready to make him day-to-day yet. He’s week-to-week.”

Swinney added that Brown has been improving following his tightrope ankle surgery.

“He’s made a lot of progress,” Swinney said. “He had the tightrope surgery, and I’ve seen him with his scooter and I’ve seen him with crutches and I’ve seen him with a cane, and now he’s got none of that. So, he’s getting better. He’s getting better.”

Brown has missed Clemson’s last two games against Virginia and Wake Forest. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder has five catches for 30 yards across the four games he’s played in this season.

Last season, the explosive local receiver from Greenville earned freshman All-American status from ESPN after leading Clemson in receptions (52) and receiving yards (531), becoming just the fifth Tiger since 2010 to tally 50 catches in a freshman season.
