Amare Adams continues to add to his list of accolades.
The 5-star in-state Clemson commit, out of South Florence, was named Region VI AAAA Defensive Player of the Year on Thursday.
Earlier this week, Adams learned he had been selected to play in the Navy All-American Bowl in January.
Through 10 games, Adams has racked up 51 tackles with 9.5 tackles for loss. He has three sacks, nine quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and batted down multiple passes. And he does it while either continuously facing double teams and opponents running away from him.
Adams committed to Clemson last December, and is the highest-rated player in the Tigers’ 2025 recruiting class. The 6-foot-6, 300-pound defensive lineman, out of South Florence, is ranked by 247Sports No. 23 overall, No. 4 among all defensive linemen and No. 1 in the state of South Carolina.
