This ACC analyst gave his pick for today’s game between No. 23 Clemson (6-2, 5-1 ACC) and Virginia Tech (5-4, 3-2).
In Friday’s ACC PM show, ACC Network host Mark Packer weighed in with some thoughts on the game and how he sees it playing out.
The Tigers are a six-point favorite in the game at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, Va.
The game is set to kick off at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised on ESPN.
Packer – who graduated from Clemson, where he was a member of the golf team – picked the Tigers to beat the Hokies.
Here’s what Packer had to say in his prediction:
“Both of them last week, off the cliff. Virginia Tech can’t win close ones. Clemson’s defense last, sound asleep. Their special teams, sound asleep. Dabo’s been great against the Hokies, 6-0 all time. I’ve paid too much money to the school from a personal standpoint with two daughters that also graduated there. My wife is a Hokie, so even when I get home, that’s going to be a problem. But I will take Clemson in a close game, but it would not surprise me if it goes the other way.”
