CLEMSON — Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney spoke to the media following Wednesday’s practice at the Poe Indoor Practice Facility.

Swinney gave the latest injury updates on four Clemson starters.

The Clemson coach said left tackle Tristan Leigh and left guard Marcus Tate are coming along.

“They are getting better. They are making improvement,” he said. “It is truly just day-to-day with those guys.”

Leigh missed last week’s game at Pitt, after getting hurt during Clemson’s opening drive against Virginia Tech the week before. Tate has missed each of the last two games with an injury.

Swinney also gave an update to the status of linebacker Wade Woodaz and safety R.J. Mickens. Woodaz missed last week’s game thanks to a deep thigh bruise in practice, while Mickens was hurt early in the fourth quarter against Pitt.

“They are working through it,” Swinney said. “Slowly getting a little bit better each and every day. They are both questionable for this weekend. They are both just day-to-day, They are getting better each day.

“Again, we have a couple of full days and lot can happen in those couple of days, so we will see how they keep progressing. They are headed in the right direction.”

The Tigers (8-2) will host The Citadel Saturday (3:30 p.m., CW) at Memorial Stadium.
