Swanson has Enjoyed his Time at Clemson

CLEMSON – After six years as a Clemson Tiger, Aidan Swanson has exhausted all eligibility and will be recognized for Senior Day against The Citadel before the 17th-ranked Tigers come down the hill Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

Before the 2024 season, the punter appeared in 35 games with a career long punt of 67 yards in the 2022 season. This year, Swanson has appeared in all 10 games and is averaging 42.4 yards per punt.

Swanson said as his time at Clemson is coming to an end, it’s slowly starting to hit him. The graduate said, “Six years has gone by so fast. I’m just really looking forward to it and enjoying the moment and get a win for the team.”

While reflecting on what he will take away most from his time as a Tiger, Swanson said the memories and relationships he’s made with players, coaches, and support staff are most important to him. He said, “that’s what Clemson’s all about.”

Through Swansons time at Clemson, there have been a lot of changes since he got here in 2019. He said those things are “confidence level for sure. Consistency has gotten a lot better. Approach towards practice and games.”

He can remember his first practice when he arrived in the Spring, and he was nervous and “shaking back there for punt rep.” Now he finds himself calm and collected with no worries. “It’s been a long process, but it’s gone well.”
