Clemson will welcome The Citadel to town this weekend, with the Tigers set to host two recruits on official visits.
The most high-profile name is 4-star WR Donovan Murph, who is set to announce a commitment on January 3 during the Under Armor All-American Game.
Murph was the first receiver in the 2026 recruiting class to pick up an offer from Clemson after an impressive showing at camp back in June. He would later reclassify to 2025 and will sign on the later signing day in February.
This is a battle that looks to be coming down to in-state rivals, Clemson and South Carolina, with Murph also mentioning Colorado and Ole Miss as schools that he really likes, as well.
“The freshmen play, there is always gonna be a good quarterback,” Murph said about Clemson to TCI recently. “It’s just a strong foundation. I always feel that family-feel there up there as well. Coach Swinney is always showing me that there’s been guys like me that they have a tradition of developing at receiver. So that’s also something that stands out to me.”
3-star OL commit Gavin Blanchard is also set to take his official visit this weekend. The Tigers flipped Blanchard off his commitment to UCF earlier this month. Blanchard is the fourth OL to join the class, along with 4-stars Brayden Jacobs and Easton Ware and 3-star Rowan Byrne.
2026 4-star OL target Maxwell Riley will also return to Clemson on Saturday. Riley will be accompanied by his mother and father on the visit.
2026 in-state RB J.R. Kinard is also set to take an unofficial visit.
4-star in-state corner Joshua Dobson is a high-profile recruit in the 2027 class that will be on hand. Dobson is already considered one of the top corners in the class and a Top 50 prospect.
