CLEMSON SEEKS NINTH WIN OF 2024 SATURDAY AGAINST THE CITADEL

After a thrilling 24-20 win at Pitt last week, Clemson will return to Death Valley on Saturday, Nov. 23 when the Tigers face off with The Citadel Bulldogs in an intrastate, cross-division matchup. Kickoff at Memorial
Stadium in Clemson is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET.

To steal a turn of phrase from the golfing world, Clemson is “in the clubhouse,” so to speak, after wrapping up ACC regular season play with a late comeback win at Pitt last week. The Tigers finished ACC regular season play at 7-1 but will now await results from across the conference to determine whether or not the Tigers will qualify for the ACC Championship Game for a conference-leading 10th time.

Last week, Clemson carried a 17-7 lead into the fourth quarter against Pitt but found itself trailing 20 17 with 1:36 remaining. After a 244-yard first half, Clemson had been stifled to the tune of 27 second-half yards before its final drive. However, Clemson went on a three-play, 75-yard game-winning drive that culminated with a 50-yard Cade Klubnik touchdown run on a
quarterback draw to win the game.

This week marks the first week that any team can clinch a berth in the 2024 ACC Championship Game.

– Clemson (7-1 in ACC play) would clinch if Miami loses to Wake Forest this week.

– SMU can clinch with a win over Virginia, as they would move to 7-0. The worst SMU could be then is 7-1 if they were to lose their final game versus Cal in Week 14. If there is a 3-way tie at 7-1 with Clemson, Miami, and SMU, Miami and SMU would advance based on wins over both Louisville and Florida State.
