After seeing multiple starters on the defensive side of the ball miss last weekend’s win over The Citadel, Clemson received some good news on that front Wednesday night.

Dabo Swinney confirmed during his Wednesday weekly Zoom call that R.J. Mickens will return when No. 12 Clemson hosts No. 15 South Carolina in the annual rivalry matchup on Saturday at noon.

“R.J. is good to go,” Swinney said. “He’s had a great week of practice.”

Mickens is third on the team with 58 tackles. He also has 4.5 tackles for loss and one interception.
