Following Syracuse’s big win over No. 6 Miami on Saturday, Orange head coach Fran Brown sent a message to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney.
“Hey Dabo Swinney, Congrats! I got you in Baby,” Brown said in his postgame interview with ESPN.

Thanks to Syracuse’s win, Clemson (9-3, 7-1 ACC) will play No. 9 SMU (11-1, 8-0 ACC) next Saturday in Charlotte for the ACC Championship.
Syracuse quarterback Kyle McCord, who chewed up the Miami secondary, sent Clemson Football a message on X.com.
“You’re welcome Clemson Football,” he wrote.

McCord threw for 380 yards on 26 of 36 passes, including three touchdowns, as he helped the Orange overcome a 21-0 second-quarter deficit against the Hurricanes.
Miami (10-2, 6-2 ACC) needed a win over Syracuse to advance to the ACC Championship for just the second time in team history. However, Syracuse got a fumble return for a touchdown in the third quarter and tallied 479 yards in the comeback victory.
Syracuse (9-3, 5-3) also helped Clemson’s College Football Playoff hopes. The 12th-ranked Tigers, who lost to rival South Carolina earlier in the day, can now make the playoffs with a win over SMU, as an automatic qualifier.
This marks the 10th time Clemson will play in the ACC Championship Game, the most in the game’s history. The Tigers are 8-1 in their previous nine trips to the game (all under Swinney), including eight straight wins.
The Tigers last win came in 2022 when they defeated North Carolina, 39-10.
