Bad News for NC State

It appears NC State is set to take a major hit with the departure of this star offensive player.

According to multiple reports, Wolfpack sophomore wide receiver Kevin Concepcion intends to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

Concepcion would figure to be one of the most sought-after receivers in the portal this cycle. In his two seasons at NC State, the 5-foot-11, 187-pounder has posted 1,299 yards on 124 catches, to go with 356 rushing yards on 60 carries, and has accounted for 18 total touchdowns.

As a freshman last season, Concepcion was the ACC Rookie of the Year and Offensive Rookie of the Year, as well as a freshman All-American. He set the NC State freshman record for receiving touchdowns (10) and receptions (71).

A native of Charlotte, N.C., Concepcion was rated as a four-star prospect, the No. 12 player in North Carolina and the No. 53 wide receiver in the nation by Rivals.

He will have two years of eligibility remaining.
