CLEMSON – Clemson has a late addition to its 2025 recruiting class.
In-state safety Jakarrion Kenan announced a decision to attend Clemson during a ceremony at Marlboro County High School on Wednesday. Kenan worked out at Dabo Swinney’s high school camp last in June.
The 6-foot, 180-pound prospect was at one time committed to Rutgers, before deciding to decommit in October and reopen his recruitment. After that decision, he would take official visits to NC State, Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech, with the Commodores considered the favorite down the stretch.
On3 ranks Kenan as a 4-star and No. 28 among all safeties. The service also ranks him No. 9 in the state of South Carolina.
Of the seven decommitments the Tigers have suffered in this cycle, three were defensive backs. Two safeties and one cornerback. Kenan is the only DB to sign on Wednesday. His addition puts Clemson at 15 signees in the 2025 class.
