The Virginia Cavaliers just got a massive boost to the offense, landing their starting quarterback for 2025.
After a 5-7 season, struggling to find a rhythm on offense with 16 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions as a team, Virginia landed North Texas transfer Chandler Morris according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.

Morris had 3,774 passing yards and 35 total touchdowns during the 2024 season, finishing fourth in the country in passing touchdowns. He is also the son of Texas State wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator Chad Morris, who has spent five years at Clemson as an assistant. Chandler grew up living in the house next to Dabo Swinney.
The Cavaliers haven’t been in the ACC spotlight for some time now and Morris could be the piece to change that fortune.
