The SEC’s official X account took a shot at Clemson, following the Tigers’ loss to No. 5 seed Texas Saturday in the first round of the College Football Playoff.
The Tigers, who have had more success than any other non-SEC member in college football in the last decade, went 0-3 against the SEC in 2024. Clemson lost to Georgia in the Aflac Kickoff Classic to open the season, then lost a heartbreaker to rival South Carolina in the regular-season finale, before being beat by Texas in the CFP.
Prior to this season, Dabo Swinney and Clemson was 14-6 against SEC opponents since 2015, a winning percentage that would have ranked third among the SEC’s 14 members in that span.
