More bad news at Florida State.
A half-dozen former Seminole players are suing their former coach over missing NIL payments.
Six former FSU basketball players — Darin Green Jr., Josh Nickelberry, Primo Spears, Cam’Ron Fletcher, De’Ante Green and Jalen Warley — have filed a lawsuit against Seminoles head coach Leonard Hamilton.
Per Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports, the suit alleges that the missing NIL payments — $250,000 per player – were promised to them by Hamilton.
The players say Hamilton promised them the funds from his “business partners,” and according to Dellenger, the complaint details that the players boycotted a practice last season over the missed payments.
FSU (9-4, 0-2 ACC) plays against Syracuse in Tallahassee on Saturday. Hamilton, 76, is in the last year of his contract at FSU.
Clemson hosts FSU in Littlejohn Coliseum on Saturday, Jan. 11, and the Tigers will play the Seminoles in Tallahassee on Saturday, Feb. 15.
